Start with the existing condition
We review flaking paint, visible staining, surface cracks and weathered finishes before agreeing on the work. Repainting alone cannot resolve an underlying leak or movement problem. Where another trade needs to address a cause first, the painting scope and timing can be coordinated around that work.
Preparation suited to the substrate
Loose material is removed and the surface is cleaned, patched and sanded as appropriate to its condition. Primers, sealers and finishing coats are selected to suit the substrate and agreed application. The level of preparation is set out in the quote so the expected work is clear.
Repaint and review
